If you’re using a PC, try using the port on the front and on the backside as well. Then, test if the device connects and functions properly on the alternate port. If the device works on the second USB port, it indicates the original port you were using has likely failed or is damaged. Above all, if the USB device still does not work on any On Device Manager I see the warning on the USB device with: Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43) A USB port reset request failed. I have tried everything from Windows updates, device driver uninstall / reinstall / update, add / remove device etc. It does not work. Method 3: Check for Windows Update. After switching on my computer, all usb ports become inactive once the computer boots up. If I go into BIOS, they are working, but not once boot up has competed. Thirdly, if you run a lot of USB devices and cannot find a solution on your USB ports not working makes me think you didn't connect them correctly, unless you mean the ones directly on the motherboard. As for no display, if it was my computer I'd build it with no videocard at first. Use the onboard graphics to set it all up, including installing and updating Windows. Only use one stick of memory and your boot drive (I Right-click each hub, click Properties on the drop-down list then click the Power Management Tab. Repeat this process on all USB Root hubs. Reboot the computer and check to see if the USB Ports function properly. 6. Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
